I watch as new ice forms
crackling patterns of frost
my vision through the pane
is obscured becoming kaleidoscopic
you rise above the sill and horizon
to bless me as love in winter
next to the fire of your embrace
as the yin next to me is Janus
the full of your ardor arises
to blossom full moon waxing.

Ben John Smith
Ben John Smith: "leaking
If you belly stab
A word hard enough
Sometimes the ink
Black blood
Spills out and pools
Around your feet
Like a Japanese horror
Flick.
Other times it takes
The puncture
looks at the wound
and laughs like
you gave it a tickle.
You gotta be a hard
Sonovabitch
To battle with them
kinda
Verbs.

Chariots and Myth
http://allpoetry.com/poem/1245238
Chariots And Myths
Ancient warrior Apollo
dreams of chariot dust
and flaming wheels
survives to manifest
gray mares grazing
life riders in pastures storm
southern sky alight
while western sky’s
delight in eastern sunrise
madness on a summers day
as benign frozen pillows lay
remnants of winters waning
ancient horses wait to serve
as seasons pass
then one day
the young chariot
warrior died in glory
died defending Troy!
I a lost foot soldier
along the Aegean shore
for want of horse and
the battle lost we stand
awaiting just rewards.
