It is appropriate for one to consider reliability when >> what we hear paralleling what we see and we then process it with an opinion that is not influenced by personal prejudice. Are our values based on common sense or can we reason past what we have known as The Truth and up grade it into a century that is appropriate.  This does not much mean it needs modernization but it does require us to leave a past to learn what we do with the present. I will have to guess at percentages but it must be that 85% of today's society is technologically blind to social manipulation via mass media.
